Summary

Serhat HEPP is a diversion type hydropower project located over the Uzun Creek within the borders of Giresun province. The project site is located at Black Sea Region providing the usage of the head  between 1405 m and 1140 m of Uzun Creek.

Within the scope of the project, there exists an uncontrolled  weir of 37 m length and 10 m heigth. The water taken with the intake structure is transmitted to the stilling basin and then into the 1.5 km long tunnel. The tunnel ends with a circular head pond which is connected to a 550 m long penstock. In the powerhouse there will be two Francis turbines with a total mechanical capacity of 9.10 MW.
