Summary

Hızır Weir & HEPP is a diversion type hydropower project in Eastern Blacksea Region within Borçka district of Artvin province over Çosedinara Creek between the elevations of 1285 m and 1101 m.

Hızır HEPP project is a very small hydro project and placed very near to a natural park. Therefore, the project is designed to have the least negative effect on the environment.

The structures aboveground are; a small capacity diversion weir and a powerhouse. The waterline is designed as a long penstock, thus the need of a conveyance channel, a forebay and their access roads are eradicated. The penstock length is 1590 m and the whole line is buried underground.

The aboveground structures are designed to have the minimum dimension also enabling the technical requirement.
