Akın HES Project is a diversion type hydroelectric power station which evaluates Ahırlı Creek’s (Pazarsuyu) head level between the altitudes of 655 m and 550 m. Assignments of planning, optimization and formulation as well as the financial analysis of the project are prepared by Prosem Engineering.
Akın HES makes use of the energy potential of Ahırlı Creek’s head level between the altitudes of 655 m and 550 m . The currents which are converted by a regulator structure will be transmitted to the head pond through 2470m long and 5m in calibre transmission tunnel. The topography of the region, where the forebay is to be built, is highly inclined. Therefore, the head pond is planned as disk shaped and its diameter is determined to be 15.00m. In this project, the transmission tunnel is designed to be used as a daily tank and a significant benefit is procured due to the long length of the tunnel. Two equal power Francis type units, by means of the advantage of having daily tanks in the projects, can be used without energy loss.
